the Ideas Forge was founded when we decided to take our many years of experience working in Web design and marketing services in both the private and public sectors and start a new venture. With contacts formed over the years in many supporting businesses, such as local printers, copywriters and Web designers, it was just a small step to offer a wide range of complete marketing and design services.
We believe in keeping it simple, and paying attention to the details.
We've been designing Web sites ever since 1996 when our first site went live. Since then we've worked on company public Web sites, Intranet and Extranets. During this time we've amassed a wealth of practical experience of how to make a site really work. Simple and effective is our aim. Too often the focus is on how the site appears rather that how it works. In other words, it is all about Web Marketing, not just design.

Serenity Natural Health and Beauty
Serenity is a mobile beauty business. The important considerations for the web site was to create a clean, fresh and feminine look. Secondly it had to be created as a local business in terms of content for search engines.
To support the Web site we also created a tri-fold brochure with an overview of the services and prices

Kitchen Irons
Kitchen Irons is a family business which designs and sells wrought iron kitchenware. The site is being developed in two stages, initially as a shop window to allow visitors to view the products and order by phone and stage two to integrate on-line shopping. The site is receiving excellent traffic from the chosen key phrases such as "wrought iron kitchenware" and "iron pan rack".

Jarvis of St. James Champagne
 Jarvis of St. James imports exclusive vintage and non-vintage champagnes. The web site offers an on-line shop to allow customers to re-order their favourites. Jarvis of St. James also sponsors a number of prestigious events such as the Whyte and Mackay Earls Court Boat Show - for which we produced advertising for the show guide - and Powerboat P1. These events are also promoted via the site.

Equinefit Saddles
 Equinefit Saddles wanted to increase their exposure on the Web in their niche market: bespoke, made to measure saddles. The pages were designed to reflect these key words and the site is now achieving high rankings on Google, Yahoo and MSN for their key phrases and has helped the business to expand into new markets particularly the USA.
 We've also produced a couple of one page flyers in PDF for customer to download and also for print, to promote their Dressage saddles and Jumping saddles.

Rancho Pavo Real
Rancho Pavo Real are Paso Fino horse breeders and trainers. This site needed to offer the visitor background information on the Paso Fino as well as promoting their stock of horses for sale, their training facilities for horses and riders and other services. Above all, the site had to be simple and easy to navigate.
 In addition to the Web site, we also created a matching tri-fold brochure and even a set of key rings for gifts at shows - which have proved to be a big hit!
We've also produced some short videos of the horses for sale which can be viewed on the site and also was made up into a DVD.

Jeff Bowen Awnings
Jeff Bowen Awnings - The objective was to move a successful caravan and motorhome awning business from a mail order/phone order business to an on-line business. The requirements are unusual as many customers find it difficult to select the right size and type of product, which means that personal contact is an important part of the sale. The site provides details of all the models for sale.
